Every year at this time, Tools of the Trade's editorial team takes a look back at the hundreds of tools, accessories, equipment, and technological breakthroughs we've seen introduced at trade shows, in private meetings, and on factory tours and select those few that we feel stand out. And each year, these products become our Editors' Choice Award winners.

As interesting as this is for us, it gets harder every year to choose from so many ingenious and incredible inventions–because every year tool manufacturers accelerate their blistering pace of new introductions and drive innovations deeper into new technologies. So, to pick from this expanding universe of new products is a daunting and difficult task. It also is a lot of fun because we search high and low all year long for award winners that we feel deserve special recognition–and we never know where they'll turn up.

And so, once again, we are proud to introduce another batch of Editors' Choice Award winners, which include tools and accessories that will improve user safety, security, workmanship, and jobsite efficiency, along with ultra-modern takes on the old hammer and nail. As always, we honor the people behind these products, whose creativity, hard work, and brainpower brought them from concept to reality, and the companies they work for that dedicate their teams to solving our everyday construction challenges through imagination and innovation.
